Do you accept Insurance?

I am an out-of-network provider. If you have a PPO (Preferred Plan Option), you most likely have out of network benefits. It is your responsibility to check with your insurance company to verify your coverage for mental health outpatient office visits so that you can calculate out of pocket cost. I will provide a statement containing the necessary codes and information so that you can submit a claim for reimbursement to your insurance company.

For those that are not using insurance and find it financially difficult to afford therapy, there is limited availability on a sliding scale.

What questions should I ask my insurance company?

  • Do I have mental health insurance benefits?

  • Do I have out-of-network benefits?

  • What is my deductible and has it been met?

  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?

  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?

  • Is approval required from my primary care physician?

  • Do I need to get authorization from my insurance carrier prior to my first appointment?

What type of payment do you accept?

I accept cash, Venmo, Paypal and Health Savings Account cards.
I do not bill clients. Payment is due at the time of service.

Making an Appointment

When you make the initial call, I will be happy to answer your questions about my practice and if my approach will be a good fit for you.

Your first appointment is our opportunity to begin getting to know each other. Therapy requires a commitment of your time and money and it is essential for you to feel you have connected with the right therapist. When you come in, we will address the reasons you are seeking therapy and what goals you want to accomplish.

Throughout the course of therapy I use different techniques and approaches depending on each individual's needs and desires. Your participation and feedback are vital to the process and progress of therapy. As the saying goes “if nothing changes, nothing changes”.

What if I have to cancel an appointment

If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please provide 24 hours notice. A scheduled appointment needs to be canceled with adequate time barring an emergency you to avoid a charge for the full fee of your missed appointment.  Insurance does not reimburse for missed sessions.

Session Fees

Initial Intake Assessment $245 per 60-minute session

Regular Session $185 per 45-minutes session

Additional charge applied by 15 min increments if extended session time needed.
